October 15, from Geldrop to Istanbul
Early morning bus to Düsseldorf, by plane to Istanbul airport and by bus to Erbil hotel in the ancient city center.

Forced to be be quiet today: boat trip over the Bosphorus. Thea visits a soccer game of Besiktas, Jan his bed.

October 17, race day Eurasia Race 15 km
By bus to the Asian part of the city near the Bosphorus bridge and waiting till the start.
On the bridge, 70 m above waterlevel, walking families on the track....
No km-sign, no public and the track goes up and steep down. We cross Taksim square and after 9 km the Galata bridge.
For 3 km along waterside but then a long climb through the parc of the Topkapi palace and the last 400 m steeply climbing to the finish near the
Hagia Sofia mosk.
When all our marathonrunners are finished too, the rewarding drinks starts.
At last to become a very smooth face to the 'Kuaför'.
